just back from the "bu"

what Jamie Kennedy called the "Bu" is where I just returned... Spending a couple days in the nice weather in Cali was just what the Dr. ordered. Ahh, not for pleasure unfortunately. I was hired to re-image a couple brands that my great friend is now the VP. I will be hush hush on the names and labels since most (photographers) are out to steal anything job possible these days.
We shot at Harry Gesner's house in Malibu. Harry is an amazing man who is a retired famed architect living the good life of surf and beach. His house or rather compound is a piece of art that he designed and built. Next door he designed a home for Carey Grant. Kinda a cool til he started talking about Tahiti and Marlon Brando and than I realized he is no joke. It made me want to do his documentary and coffee table book. I must return to Malibu soon to find out more about this famed architect.
Now I am back in NYC for a day before my next adventure... I leave you with a couple pics.

  1. In an earlier post (May 2007) a Muse Models was mentioned. Is this the Muse Models that was exposed as a scam on Dateline tonight? The scam that was run by a Mr. Gemase of San Antonio, Texas ?

  2. Anyway I don't know much about modeling, etc. but in my opinion the most beautiful face (but not a model body) belongs to Carrie Underwood. I mentioned the scam by a Mr. Gemase in the above post. On Dateline (the t.v. newsmagazine) he called his phony modeling agency Gemase LLC then changed the name to Muse Models. So I did a 'google' search on 'muse models' and your blog was listed. Since I ended up on this blog which concerns modeling I will list (in my opinion) the 5 most beautiful women (any era). 1- Grace Kelly 2- Audrey Hepburn 3- Charlize Theron 4- Veronica Lake 5- Carrie Underwood

  3. Also on an earlier post there was a mention about Mom's pizza and their advertisment as the best pizza around. I'm from Philly and believe me the best pizza in the U.S. is GENO'S located in south Philly with PAT's STEAKS coming in second. I lived a block away from the pet store filmed in the ROCKY movie (where Rocky meets Adrian). A rough neighborhood to be sure. I love N.Y.C. The last time I was in N.Y.C. was in 1983 where I watched them filming the COTTON CLUB with Richard Gere. I lived above the restaurant where they did the filming. I lived across from the Chelsea Hotel (23 st. and 7th ave., I believe). Excuse me for rambling on...at this late hour..but the Internet is amazing..and since I live alone talking into Cyberspace is better than talking to one's self.

  5. GORGEOUS shots! You are the most talented photographer out there. You are also a very good looking person. BTW to the previous poster, no that is not the same Muse agency.
